One star, because Google requires it. Avoid!!!!! Unpleasant welcome. They don't try to find out who among us has already ridden a horse, to distribute the horses according to the level. I come across a horse with reins that are too short and ask to change the reins, not the horse: I am told that the horses have already been prepared and that it is impossible to change them (for riders, everyone knows that it takes 2 seconds to change the harness). Furthermore, the stirrups were too long and, being raised to the maximum, I take it upon myself not to ask to change the saddle. I dare to insist on changing the reins and express my dissatisfaction, this provokes a call from them to the "boss". For my part, I call the travel agency who explains to me that the Native Americans are unfriendly and unwelcoming: well, I confirm! The most delicious thing being when the guide tells me that I have small arms! We're dreaming! We're made to mount and left standing in the sun and dust for long minutes, for nothing, without any information. Instructions on how to steer the horse are given in a hurry, without taking the time to ensure that the riders have understood them and know how to apply them. (You'll have gathered that we are a non-riding family.)
And, finally, my wife, who decides, after a few meters, to give up on the horseback ride because she feels very uncomfortable (obviously the stirrups were, again, too long...), returns to the starting point, only to be told that we all have to come back, the owner having decided to cancel the outing and refund us. We had to insist heavily to get the owner's phone number, because the staff was about to leave us stranded, leaving in their car, telling us to go to the website to find the number!!!! Well, we hope the boss, who unilaterally decided to cancel this ride, keeps his word. In any case, spend your money elsewhere.

A great ride with a breathtaking view! There were four of us beginners, and our guide took the time to explain the character of our horses. He also told us which films had been filmed in each location. At 9 a.m. it was already very hot, so if you can, book early in the morning or at the end of the day.

A big thank you to Logan who was patient enough to show us Monument Valley on horseback, even though most of our group didn't know how to ride.

Unreal experience in Monument Valley, discovering the place in a horseback tour genuinely brings something special ! We were five friends, beginners at horse riding and had an amazing time up there. Our guide Logan made the tour very easy for us, stopping for photos and explaining the scenery to us as we went along.
It is definitely an experience you don’t want to miss visiting Monument Valley. Thanks a lot again Logan and big up to the horse I rode : Arizona!

Terrible. They canceled our horseback ride scheduled for 8 a.m. at the last minute because other participants had canceled, and they proposed a later time (1 p.m.) that we couldn't accept given our travel schedule. It ruined one of the most anticipated moments of the trip.

First time riding in Utah, nice weather but a little cold, they checked the horse thoroughly, and guided us where and how to go.

My wife and I did the 2 hour tour of the valley. It was genuinely a breathtaking experience. The horses are very steady and easy to ride (if you have never ridden before.) Our guide, Deon, was excellent. The stories are fantastic. Riding horses through the valley is really the only way to actually experience Monument Valley.

I recommend wearing jeans or khaki pants. I guess good durable hiking pants would work too. If you have boots, wear boots.

The experience itself is incredible—riding a horse in Monument Valley is kind of everyone’s dream! Our guide was really nice, took photos for us, and told us many stories about Monument Valley and the Navajo people. But... I have to give it three stars.

The price was way, way too high.
The price is too high because it wasn’t really two hours on the horse, as there were extremely long breaks.
I saw one of the horses being kicked in the stomach to calm it down, and it was horrible.
I expected a longer route, considering it was supposed to be two hours.
Other than that, we enjoyed the experience for the view of Monument Valley and thanks to the guide who shared some really interesting stories.

The best way to learn about one's culture and stories is to understand and hear directly from its people. That's how I feel about this horse-riding tour with Sacred Monument Tours. It's more than just horse riding; the energy with our tour leader Dion, born and grew up in Monument Valley, preserving his Native American culture, legacy, arts, and community through sharing knowledge and ideas with us visitors to his ancestor's sacred home. Thank you, Dion, for all the beautiful stories you shared with us, it touched our hearts more than you can imagine.

And to trigger, you are such a wonderful, gentle horse to me. Overall 10/10. Much love from Indonesia

Loved our horse back ridding with this company! Our guides Logan and Niko were amazing riders, and made the riding non-stressful. They were so fun to watch their different styles of riding. My style was beginner as it’s been since I was 14 that I was on a horse for two hours and I’m now 65! I highly recommend this company.
Horses were healthy and well trained.

Seeing monument valley on horse back was incredible and this company was great- we booked through Groupon and it was super smooth. The off season was so nice to come for because it wasn’t as busy! It was just the two of us with our guide- Alden- on the 2 hour tour which felt personable and was long enough to see the incredible views. Our guide answered all our questions and taught us a significant amount of culture and history of the Navajo and of Monument Valley. Our horses- Sideburns and Pocahontas were super great and we enjoyed getting to work with them. The horses even had pet dogs that came with us on the ride which was amazing. There are great accommodations and they pick a horse based on your experience level as well as have hats, helmets, and waterbottle holders to make the ride safe, easy and more authentic. If you forget cash for a tip, they have a card reader which is helpful.
